Cutting Costs When The Insurance Runs Out
When our dad’s Medicare and insurance coverage ran out, our parents had to pay for his rehab stays. To keep costs down, we asked about using an alternative pharmacy option that was more affordable, and we also brought in our own supplies, such as toilet paper, tissues, creams, bed pads, etc.

Upon entering any medical facility, make sure the information on your parent’s ID bracelet is correct. Then, whenever medication is being dispensed, be sure the nurse checks that same bracelet.
